The Gordon Perspective: ICW I’m A Lumberjack Match (and I’m Okay) Preview

ICW start the Edinburgh Fringe run this Sunday with a stacked card full of great action.

The matches announced for the event:
Tag Team Titles #1 Contender Match
The New Age Kliq (Chris Renfrew/BT Gunn) vs The Sumerian Death Squad (Tommy End/Michael Dante)
Jack Jester vs Big Damo
Wolfgang vs Mikey Whiplash
Noam Dar vs Martin Kirby w/ James R Kennedy
Joe Hendry vs Kid Fite w/ James R Kennedy
Joe Coffey vs Sha Samuels w/ James R Kennedy
Davey Boy w/ The Wee Man vs Saqib Ali w/ Chris Toal

Two matches that stand out for me is with the continuing war between The New Age Kliq and Legion. Wolfgang, who beat Rhino at Shug’s Hoose Party II, will face Mikey Whiplash. Whiplash, who lost to BT Gunn at Shug’s this Sunday past, will be looking to get past Wolfie and get to the six man steel cage match that will be held between the two factions in November at Fear and Loathing VIII.

Also, the Sumerian Death Squad will be in the City Nightclub to face the NAK’s Chris Renfew and BT Gunn to determine who will get a future tag team title match with the reigning champions, Polo Promotions.

The Main Event on the night, for me, will be Jack Jester vs Damo O’Connor. After the surprising ending to the World Heavyweight Title match on Sunday, which saw Jester help Drew Galloway to retain, Damo will be all out for revenge for Jester’s low blow which cost him the match.

PLUS The 55 will be involved in three matches, as members Kid Fite, Martin Kirby and Sha Samuels face off against Joe Hendry, Noam Dar and Joe Coffey respectively. It’ll be a busy night for James R Kennedy and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Timm Wylie get involved at some stage.

I will be posting live updates on the OSWtv Facebook page on Sunday night from City Nightclub and can’t wait for it.

From ringside, this Is The Gordon Perspective signing off ’til next time.
