PREVIEW: Reckless Intent Under Pressure 05/03/16

Reckless Intent have been on a whirlwind of high attendances and a lot of positive comments. They return to Murieston Scout Hall after a successful debut in Twechar on a wave of momentum. Reckless Intent is really looking like a company that can do no wrong right now with plenty in ring action and giving the fans what they want.

In a return match from Twechar, Delsin Dayre steps into the ring against the uncaged Sean Mercer. These two went to war in Twechar but that was only the start of the battle. Mercer is out for blood and the more he gets his hands on Dayre, the more brutal and merciless he will become. Delsin Dayre may be walking into the lion’s den.

The feud between Jam O’Malley and Rob Mills continues with O’Malley once again targeting Mills, the youngster has faced the Hardcore Champion on several occasions and just when it looks like he has the upper hand “Handsome” Jam always finds away to have the last laugh. This six man tag match will be all about O’Malley and Mills trying to gain control with a win carrying the momentum over with another showdown over the Hardcore Championship on the horizon.

Darkside has quickly made an impact since arriving in Reckless Intent, first by attacking the Super B.O.W.L. winner LJT and now he has set his sights on the current Sunday Slam Wrestling Champion Theo Doros. This match is a non-title match but if Darkside pins Doros, it will surely put him in line for a future title shot. Doros is a gutsy performer but against someone with the experience of Darkside, his luck may run out.

Reckless Intent have put together another contender for match of the night when “The Lowland Superstar” Glen Dunbar battles “The Rebel With A Cause” LJT. A clash of styles with the ground and pound Dunbar against the high flying and risk taking LJT. Both men have a reputation for going all out to gain victory and this match will be no different.

Massimo faces the biggest challenge in his RI career as he defends his UK Championship against “The Beast of Belfast” Damian O’Connor. O’Connor is quite possibly the best in the UK right now with his imposing size and incredible speed, not afraid to get into a brawl, a wrestling contest or matching power for power. The ring may need to be reinforced when these two square off. Massimo is coming off a loss to Michael Chase from Twechar and will be on the backfoot whereas Damian O’Connor returns to Reckless Intent after winning titles all over the country. Massimo will be hungry to make an impression on the Irishman and get back to winning ways.

It’s a first in Reckless Intent when Nikki Storm faces Courtney. The first ever women’s match in Reckless Intent history and what a match to kick off with! “The Best in the Galaxy” is up against one of the fastest rising wrestlers in the country and this should be a great contest. As the veteran, Nikki Storm will have an experience advantage but Courtney isn’t one to go down without a fight. Keep an eye on this one as it’ll hopefully be the first of many women’s matches to hit Reckless Intent as Scotland is currently producing the best female wrestlers in the world, which isn’t just hyperbole it’s the truth.

Micheal Chase defends his RI Championship against the debuting Irish wrestling veteran and “Lord of the Manor” Paul Tracey in what is sure to be in instant classic. Chase is early into his reign but has already turned back the current UK Champion Massimo and will put everything on the line, like he does every time he steps into a Reckless Intent ring, to come out on top. The popular Chase has a lot of work to do if he’s to leave Murieston Scout Hall with the gold but as history has proven, Michael Chase isn’t a stranger to overcoming the odds.
