WrestleZone return to the Victoria Hall in Ellon this Saturday, June 25th, with all the fallout from Aberdeen Anarchy. Let’s take a look at the matches for the show, which is looking to be a great night.
Chris Archer vs Cysto 1
After the ‘Greatest Undefeated Streak in Professional Sports’ ended a few weeks ago at Aberdeen Anarchy, Chris Archer will be looking to gain redemption when he faces the returning Cysto. Cysto was left off the Anarchy card, but will be sure to give Archer a run for his money. But you have to remember that Chris isn’t an easy person to put away easily. Just because his streak is over, don’t think Archer will have his eye off the prize. It’s only a matter of time before Archer has gold around his waist once again.
Kaden Garrick vs Alan Sterling
Both of these men were part of the outstanding Ladder Match from Aberdeen Anarchy, with Alan cheating his way to victory with a poke to Kaden’s eye. As a result of his team winning, Alan and brother William will challenge Kaden and Mr P for their Tag Team titles in August at Battle of the Nations. It’s been over a year since the new Alan Sterling was unleashed, and ever since he’s been on a warpath. The Victoria Hall are in for a great contest between these two fantastic competitors. But the question is, who will gain the momentum for their respective team heading into the big title match in just 2 months time?
Scotty Swift & Bryan Tucker vs Sterling Oil (William Sterling, Shawn Johnson & Damien)
In the evening’s main event, there will be a huge 2 on 3 Handicap Match with grudges to be settled. At Aberdeen Anarchy, Scotty Swift retained his Undisputed Title against Crusher Craib following an injury to the big man, while Damien and William managed to secure title opportunities for Battle of the Nations. Elsewhere on the supershow, Bryan Tucker gained revenge against his former tag team partner Shawn Johnson. But it was Shawn that got the last laugh after attacking Tucker with a steel chair, much like Bryan did to him when he returned at The Regal Rumble. Now these five men are set for battle in Ellon. With the rivalry between Shawn and Bryan far from over and Damien set to challenge ‘The Red Haired Warrior’ in August, this main event has the potential to be chaotic. But that’s what to expect in Handicap matches.
Mr P vs Lord Mr Malice
Lord Mr Malice and Jeeves Winchester make their way to Ellon as His Majesty prepares to battle one half of the WrestleZone Tag Team Champions in Mr P. The last time these two faced off was at the end of 2015 in Ferryhill. That is a match you just have to see for comedic purposes (WrestleZone have uploaded it to their YouTube, just look in the #FreeMatchFriday playlist), with Mr P coming out on top. Both men will be looking to rebound as we head towards Battle of the Nations after losing their respective matches at Aberdeen Anarchy. Mr P will have to keep a look out for Jeeves at ringside, who always enjoys getting involved, even if it means receiving a diving headbutt to the groin…
Blue Thunder vs Mikkey Vago
The Victoria Hall will be witness to a battle between former Tag Team Champions, as Blue Thunder takes on one half of The Rejected in Mikkey Vago. Thunder managed to end his rivalry with Lord Mr Malice back at The Beach Ballroom, and is now focused to get back on track. Meanwhile, Vago will be wanting to prove that his loss at Aberdeen Anarchy, alongside Chris Archer and Lou King Sharp, was a fluke and not the end of the ‘Greatest Streak in Professional Sports’. Expect a closely contested bout between these two as they both look for redemption.
Triple Threat Match
Johnny Lions vs Aspen Faith vs Sir Andrew Wilde
The final match signed for this Saturday in Ellon is a huge triple threat contest between three of the biggest names in Scotland right now. Johnny Lions, Aspen Faith and Sir Andrew Wilde will head into battle at the Victoria Hall for a huge matchup. Both Johnny and Aspen lost their contests at Aberdeen Anarchy while Andrew is making his first appearance since the Stonehaven event. This is worth the price of admission alone, all three of these men are so different in the ring. This is set to be a great match.
Entry to the event is pay at the door only, priced at the usual £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. Doors at the Victoria Hall will open at 7pm, with the action set to get underway at 7:30.
