WrestleZone return to the Arbroath Community Centre this Saturday for their second to last show of 2016. With 2017 drawing ever closer, the entire roster will be looking to showcase themselves.

Scotty Swift, Kaden Garrick & Mr P vs Sterling Oil (Alan Sterling, Shawn Johnson & Damien)

The main event for this Saturday’s show sees an all-star six man tag as the Sterling Oil trio of Alan Sterling, Shawn Johnson and Damien take on Scotty Swift, Kaden Garrick & Mr P. Sterling Oil were victorious in six man tag action back in Huntly against Mr P, Jason Reed and Cysto 1 but they’ve got a tougher task ahead of them when WrestleZone return to Arbroath. Scotty Swift is on a mission to win back the Undisputed Title he held for 525 days, and this match can act as a stepping stone towards his goal. Kaden Garrick and Mr P have been at war with Sterling Oil since the end of Februrary, so a win over three of the members would certainly boost their momentum towards earning another title shot. Like the Huntly six man tag match, there’s plenty of grudges to be settled in this one.

WrestleZone Tri-Counties Title Tournament: Qualifiers
Johnny Lions vs Lord Mr Malice

The tournament to crown the inaugural Tri-Counties Champion continues in Arbroath as Johnny Lions takes on Lord Mr Malice. Johnny challenged Andy Wild for the Undisputed Title just a few days ago in Huntly, a match that ended in controversy due to Wild having his feet on the ropes during the winning pinfall. He’ll have the chance to rebound from this unfortunate loss as he faces Lord Mr Malice. Malice often finds it hard to win matches, with his last victory being in Balmedie last year, ironically while teaming with Lions against Kaden Garrick and Mr P. Whoever wins here will meet Aspen Faith in the Quarterfinals, a hard task in itself.

Bryan Tucker vs Chris Archer

In a rematch from WrestleZone’s debut in Kincorth last month, Bryan Tucker and Chris Archer will face off. It was this time last year that Archer had just won the WrestleZone Tag Team Titles alongside Mikkey Vago. Since losing the belts back in February, it’s safe to say Archer hasn’t had the greatest of luck. Bryan Tucker on the other hand, didn’t have the best end to 2015. After being betrayed by tag partner Shawn Johnson, Tucker has been unhinged. Now in the Quarterfinals of the Tri-Counties Title Tournament, Bryan has proven he’s back on track to winning gold.

Mikkey Vago vs Cysto 1

Archer’s tag partner Mikkey Vago will also be in action on Saturday as he faces Cysto 1. Both of these men are former WrestleZone Tag Team Champions, just like Archer and Tucker. Vago is as ruthless as they come, going to any means neccesary to gain victory. His opponent for the evening is anything but ruthless, preferring to embarrass others to the delight of the fans. After a third Cysto was introduced at Halloween Hijinx, is it possible Cysto will have a bit of backup in Arbroath?

Blue Thunder vs Lou King Sharp

Lou King Sharp makes his return to WrestleZone this weekend as he takes on Blue Thunder. These men are no stranger to each other, having faced off in a 6 man tag at last year’s Aberdeen Anarchy, with Sharp’s pulling out the win. LKS has a Tri-Counties Title Tournament Qualifier coming up soon against Zach Dynamite, and will be looking to prove his dominance in the build to that. However, Thunder is not an easy man to put away as he’s proven time and time again. If Lou wants to have an easy win, he’ll need to use all the tricks in the book to beat the former tag champion.

Aspen Faith vs Jimbo Bannon

In a rematch from last Saturday’s show in Huntly, Aspen Faith and Jimbo Bannon will collide once again. After the controversial ending to their previous encounter, Jimbo laid out the challenge to find out who the better man really is. Aspen accepted the challenge from the young rookie, with the match signed for this Saturday in Arbroath. Will there be another controversial end to the contest or will there be a decisive winner this time around in the battle between the two submission specialists?

Entry to the show is pay at the door only, priced £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. Doors at the centre open at 7pm, with the action getting underway at 7:30.
