Scottish Wrestling News 20/01/17

Wolfgang made it to the semi finals of the WWE UK Championship Tournament, losing to eventual winner Tyler Bate. It is going around that all 16 competitors have signed WWE deals but no official confirmation from WWE.

WrestleZone released a statement regarding the status of Mickie James and Aberdeen Anarchy:

As we look forward to the first half of the year, we have some good news to share with all our fans, and unfortunately some bad news as well.

Firstly, we regret to announce that we have received confirmation that Mickie James will no longer be able to appear at Aberdeen Anarchy. Mickie sends her apologies and has been in contact with WrestleZone management and helped to choose a suitable replacement.

What about the good news then? Well, to begin with, that replacement will be announced live at Summerhill Showdown! But wait – that’s not all.

In more good news, management have decided that following the news of Mickie being unable to appear at Anarchy, we would spoil you a little. Why only bring in a replacement when it means we could bring you a whole extra big name instead?! We will now be bringing over THREE former WWE Superstars instead of the two that had initially been planned! That’s right – THREE former WWE Superstars will now be appearing at the Beach Ballroom for Aberdeen Anarchy 2017!

In addition, not just one, but the names of all 3 Superstars will be announced at Summerhill Showdown next Saturday!
