WrestleMania Round Up – The Scottish Wrestling Bits

On April 2nd, World Wrestling Entertainment held its annual WrestleMania event with the main event being the last match for The Undertaker. A career spanning 27 years in WWE, going out on a defeat to the super popular Roman Reigns.

The WrestleMania event itself is only a portion of the weekend with events happening all around the host city, some WWE affiliated and some not so (see Joey Janela’s Spring Break).

As you have visted OSWtv, we’re here to give you a round up of the big news involving Scottish wrestling’s finest exports and talent.

Nikki Cross (Nikki Storm) and Killian Dain (Damian O’Connor), as part of SAnitY with Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young, were victorious at NXT TakeOver: Orlando against the team of Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Kassius Ohno (who replaced No Way Jose who was attacked by SAnitY at Axxess) & Ruby Riot.

Drew McIntyre (Drew Galloway) will return to WWE on the NXT brand after his appearance front row at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. A video followed up on WWE.com with McIntyre confirming that he had signed with NXT.

Trent Seven successfully defended the Insane Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania Axxess against Wolfgang.

Killian Dain reached the final 3 of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal before being ousted by the eventual winner, Mojo Rawley. This match took place during the WrestleMania 33 pre-show.
