The latest stop on the road to Aberdeen Anarchy takes place this Saturday from the Stonehaven Town Hall. Tensions are running high with every member of the roster gunning for a spot on the card of WrestleZone’s biggest show of the year.
Mr P & Scotty Swift vs Shawn Johnson & Kid Fite
The main event for this Saturday will see the Undisputed Champion Scotty Swift team up with Mr P to take on the 2017 Regal Rumble winner Shawn Johnson and a man making his first WrestleZone appearance in 7 years, Kid Fite. Scotty and Shawn are set to do battle in the main event of Aberdeen Anarchy with the Undisputed Title up for grabs. Scotty is in desperate need of momentum heading into the annual supershow, having not won a match since March’s Regal Rumble and even being pinned by The Super Executioner. Mr P and Kid Fite are interesting additions to the match. Mr P has recently been having problems with Andy Wild, a man who trained at Kid Fite’s PBW Academy. Perhaps Andy brought in Kid Fite to take out Mr P once and for all. A huge tag team main event as the road to Aberdeen Anarchy heats up.
Triple Threat – Bryan Tucker vs Aspen Faith vs Zach Dynamite
3 of the 4 competitors in the upcoming Tri-Counties Championship Ladder Match at Aberdeen Anarchy will do battle in Stonehaven, as Bryan Tucker, Zach Dynamite and Aspen Faith face off. After Aspen and Bingo Ballance went to a time limit draw back at the Regal Rumble, The King of Catch took matters into his own hands and prevented both Tucker and Dynamite from becoming the first Tri-Counties Champion by interfering in their match later on that night. With the semifinals replayed a few weeks ago in Westhill, it was Bryan and Dynamite that went to a time limit draw before they both interfered in the match between Aspen and Bingo. With WrestleZone management finally coming to a decision on the finals, all three men in this match will have something to prove just 5 weeks before the Beach Ballroom supershow.
Triple Threat – Johnny Lions vs Damien vs Nathan North
A second Triple Threat bout has been signed for this Saturday, which will see Johnny Lions, Sterling Oil’s Damien and WrestleZone newcomer Nathan North square off. Both Johnny and Damien were involved in Triple Threat action last month in Westhill, losing to another WrestleZone rookie in Jimbo Bannon. The former tag team partners were recently involved in a year-long rivalry with each other, culminating with a 20-minute Iron Man Match this past January, which saw Lions win 3-2. Since debuting as a graduate of the WrestleZone Training Academy, Nathan North has been making a name for himself. Unfortunately for the vintage one, he hasn’t been racking up the wins. If North picks up the win against two of WrestleZone’s most experienced grapplers this Saturday, it would do wonders for his career with Aberdeen Anarchy just around the corner.
Mikkey Vago vs Andy Wild
The WrestleZone Tag Team Champions will both be in singles action this Saturday. First up, Mikkey Vago faces quite possibly his toughest test to date in singles action as he faces former Undisputed Champion Andy Wild. Andy has been butting heads with Mr P as of late, furious at being unable to regain the Undisputed Title at the Regal Rumble. With Andy using the ropes to cheat to a victory last month in Westhill, Mr P may have something to say about it in Stonehaven. Mikkey Vago, alongside Chris Archer, have held on to the tag straps since January and have been battling Sterling Oil since winning the belts from them. With the champions in singles action this weekend, we’ll get to see how well Vago copes without his tag team partner.
Lou King Sharp vs Chris Archer
The other half of the Tag Team Champions will also be in action on Saturday as Chris Archer takes on former ally Lou King Sharp. For the past two Aberdeen Anarchy’s, Archer and Sharp, alongside Archer’s Rejected partner Mikkey Vago, teamed up and started the Greatest Undefeated Streak in Pro Wrestling as they defeated The Thunder Buddies and multi-time tag champion D-Von Dudley in 2015. The aftermath saw Archer slammed through a table by Dudley. The three returned to the Beach Ballroom at last year’s supershow, this time facing a trio of former WWE superstars in the form of Carlito, The Hurricane and Bull James. In one of the most upsetting moments for all WrestleZone fans, the streak came to an end as Bull James flattened LKS. With their alliance now out the window, who knows what could happen when these two collide for the first time.
Bradley Evans & Jason Reed vs The Sterling Brothers (Alan Sterling & William Sterling)
Jason Reed returns to WrestleZone this Saturday in Stonehaven as he teams with WrestleZone Training Academy graduate Bradley Evans to face Alan and William, The Sterling Brothers. The last time we saw Jason was in Newtonhill, where he lost to Aspen Faith in a Triple Threat Match also involving Zach Dynamite. Bradley Evans made his main roster debut back in Montrose where his team picked up the win against a team that included Damien, another member of Sterling Oil. The Sterling Brothers will be out to gain retribution for their associate, while also trying to gain a potential shot at the WrestleZone Tag Team Titles at Aberdeen Anarchy. Can the makeshift team of Jason and Bradley pick up the win over one of the most decorated tag teams in WrestleZone history?
Tickets are available from www.ringsideworld.co.uk, priced at £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. Pay at the door entry will also be available on the night. Doors open at 7pm, with the action kicking off at 7:30.
