Discovery Wrestling Year 3 | Confirmed and Predicted Matches

On September 16th, Discovery Wrestling return to the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh. We know that former WWE and TNA Women's/Knockout's Champion Lisa Marie Varon will be on hand to present the winner of the Women's Championship Tournament Final with a shiny new belt as it will conclude the first tournament of the year for Discovery.

Another international name has also been signed but has not been revealed, so let's take a look at what could be made of the wrestlers that have been announced to be in Edinburgh for a huge three year celebration of Discovery.

Confirmed Matches:

Women's Championship Tournament Final – Four Way Elimination – Sammii Jayne vs Lucy Cole vs Nina Samuels vs Martina

Uncivil War Qualifer – Triple Threat – The New Age Kliq vs Polo Promotions vs Kings of the North

Predicted Matches:

Hotter Than Hell Edinburgh Invitational Semi Final – Mikey Whiplash vs Rampage Brown

Hotter Than Hell Edinburgh Invitational Semi Final – Aspen Faith vs Chris Ridgeway

We know that the semi finals of the Hotter Than Hell Edinburgh Invitational are due to take place at this event with the draw to follow. For me, this would be the perfect line up for my predicted final of Mikey Whiplash vs Aspen Faith. Plus we'd get these two fantastic contests in themselves. Whiplash versus Brown in itself is a main event in, any promotion, anywhere in the UK.

Joe Hendry vs Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle with his UFC/MMA background against Joe Hendry with his amateur wrestling prowess would make this a clinic in wrestling. Throw in that both of these guys are powerhouses, would make a surefire spectacle.

Michael Chase vs Christopher Saynt

These two have been fighting forever so what better way than to settle it at the biggest show on Discovery's calendar (which is something considering that The Elite were over earlier in the year and British Strong Style are still to come on November 5th).

Y Division Championship – Lewis Girvan vs Joe Coffey

Joe Coffey earned himself another Y Division Championship match when he and Joe Hendry defeated The Kings of Catch. Though not 100% confirmed it would make sense for Coffey to cash in that shot here.

A huge line up in store and that is just with speculation! What matches would you like to see at Discovery Wrestling's three year anniversary show?
