Five Picks To Face BT Gunn At WrestleZone’s Charity Show

On Friday March 2nd, WrestleZone make their way to the Cairncry Community Centre in Aberdeen for a special charity show, with all proceeds going to Friends of ANCHOR. To make the night even more special, WrestleZone management have announced “The Oddity” BT Gunn will make his return to The Granite City for the first time in 4 years. With the depth of WrestleZone’s current crop of talent, there’s a number of phenomenal opponents to face Gunn.

Despite losing the Undisputed Championship last month, it’s hard to disagree that Damien has been on fire as of late. After departing Sterling Oil last September, The Revolutionary became the Undisputed Champion the next month, before being screwed out of the gold in a rematch with Shawn Johnson. A match with someone like BT Gunn, especially considering each of them are doing in their careers at the moment, would be a joy to watch. Even though Damien is no longer the champion, this would still make for one hell of a match.

Aspen Faith

“The King of Catch” Aspen Faith is finally getting the recognition he deserves, wrestling regularly for the likes of ICW and Discovery Wrestling. In WrestleZone, he’s been putting on a fantastic match every time he steps through the curtain against names like Zach Dynamite and Johnny Lions. A match with Aspen against BT Gunn would be a joy to watch. Having regained the Tri-Counties Championship at Summerhill Showdown earlier this month, you could have the gold on the line and make for one hell of a championship match.

Shawn Johnson

Shawn Johnson shocked many as he regained the Undisputed Championship from Damien at Summerhill Showdown, but not without the help of Richard R. Russell. Putting him against BT Gunn would make for a fantastic contest. If you put the Undisputed Championship on the line then you’ve got a phenomenal main event. If Shawn is the one to face The Oddity, don’t be surprised if Damien gets involved to try and cost Johnson.

Zach Dynamite

Zach Dynamite recently turned his back on the fans and now-former friend Bradley Evans at last month’s Summerhill Showdown event, blaming Evans for the loss of his Tri-Counties Championship. From what I’ve heard of Dynamite with his new attitude, he appears to be more ruthless and not having any care about his actions in the ring. A match with someone the calibre of BT Gunn could only further Dynamite’s career and perhaps get him booked in more promotions.

Andy Wild

Last but not least, we have “Unstoppable” Andy Wild. Wild has massively improved over the past 2 or so years, with an enjoyable reign as the Undisputed WrestleZone Champion being his most recent title reign. Considering where both men are at in their careers right now, a match between Wild and BT Gunn would certainly be a match of the year contender.

Who would you like to see face BT Gunn come March 2nd?
