Preview: ICW Ready Player Wan

A new era of Fight Club kicks off on Sunday as ICW return to The Garage. Following a game-changing night at Barramania 4 where new champions were crowned and new alliances were forged, who knows what will come next!

ICW World Heavyweight Championship
Stevie Boy (c) vs BT Gunn

After cashing in his Square Go! briefcase at Barramania, Stevie Boy will defend the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time against former champion BT Gunn. The leader of The Filthy Generation has become one of the premier Scottish athletes over the last 12 months, picking up gold all over the UK and putting in match of the year performances every time he steps in the ring. Following a retention of his Square Go! briefcase earlier in the night over Kenny Williams, The King of Insanity decided to cash in and steal the title from BT Gunn, joining Gunn as one of only two ICW Grand Slam Champions. Gunn will be out for revenge as he tries to become a two-time World Heavyweight Champion this Sunday night!

ICW Zero-G Championship
Mark Coffey (c) vs Matt Cross

Newly crowned Zero-G Champion Mark Coffey is set to put his title on the line against the returning Matt Cross. The Power Forward recently joined Kenny Williams as the second three-time Zero-G Champion in history, last eliminating Rampage Brown in a Gauntlet Match at Barramania. His first challenger of this reign will see him face Lucha Underground star Matt Cross, a man who is no stranger to an ICW ring. Following two back-to-back losses in Zero-G Championship matches last April, The Son of Havoc gets another opportunity to pick up the title. With the returning Joe Coffey seemingly set to challenge for the championship at Shug’s Hoose Party 5 in July, Mark may be hoping to get to that match unscathed.

ICW Tag Team Championships
The Kinky Party (Jack Jester & Sha Samuels) (c) vs The Marauders (Mike Bird & Wild Boar)

The Tag Team Championships will also be up for grabs on Sunday as The Kinky Party defend against former champions The Marauders, making their return to ICW. After capturing the titles from The P.O.D last month, Jack Jester and Sha Samuels made a successful defence at Barramania as they retained against The Filthy Generation, The Purge and The Sons of Ulaid, while also winning the tag gold in PWE and PCW. ICW management now have a huge challenge for them in the form of Mike Bird and Wild Boar. Bird and Boar dominated the doubles division last year with an almost year-long reign as champions. Since losing the titles, the Welsh pairing haven’t been seen, apart from an appearance in February’s Square Go! Match. This is a chance for them to regain their position back in ICW’s tag team division.

ICW Women’s Championship
Viper (c) vs Sammii Jayne

The last of ICW’s championships will be defended as Viper will face the returning Sammii Jayne for the Women’s Championship. According to, these two women currently hold nine championships between them, with Scotland, England, Ireland, Japan, France and Spain all being represented. Both Viper and Sammii Jayne are on top of the world at the moment, competing regularly all over the world. Viper recently made the ICW Women’s Championship a world title by defending it in Japan and France, while Sammii completed her first tour of Japan at the end of last month. They’ve both been near unstoppable in the last few months, but which one will leave with ICW gold around their waist?

#1 Contenders Match
Chris Renfrew vs DCT w/Coach Trip

Whoever wins the World Heavyweight Championship match will have their next challenger determined earlier in the night, as Chris Renfrew battles DCT. This will be Renfrew’s first match in ICW since his 76-day long Falls Count Anywhere Match with Joe Hendry and what an opportunity to come back to. Having previously held the World Heavyweight Championship, the former New Age Kliq leader will hope to start a new chapter in his ICW career now that the whole shenanigans with Hendry appear to be over. While he’s been busy with that, DCT hasn’t been up to too much. After being the penultimate man eliminated in the Barramania Zero-G Championship Gauntlet Match, The International Sex Hero now has his attentions turned to the World Championship. As we head in to the summer months, who will earn themselves the title match?

Andy Wild vs Kenny Williams w/Red Lightning

After being invited back to the ICW roster full-time, Andy Wild will be facing the newest acquisition to RUDO Sports and Entertainment Brand and 2018 WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament competitor Kenny Williams. Wild is no stranger to ICW, having previously held the Zero-G Championship and being the lucky person to face Noam Dar in his last match before heading to 205 Live. A great performance in Barramania’s Zero-G Gauntlet Match caused Mark Dallas to sign Wild back to ICW permanently. He now has to face Kenny Williams. After Kenny lost to Stevie Boy in a Ladder Match, it meant he was forced to leave ICW. A low blow to then-best friend Aaron Echo after the match was followed by him signing a new contract, this one with Red Lightning and RUDO Sports and Entertainment Brand. Since then, he’s appeared on 205 Live and been signed to one of WWE’s UK contracts. If there’s a reason to have your eyes on this event, it’s this match!

Aspen Faith w/Lewis Girvan vs Wolfgang

Another dream match signed sees Aspen Faith, with Lewis Girvan in his corner, facing off against Wolfgang. Since joining The Filthy Generation, Aspen Faith has become more of a hybrid wrestler. He still has his usual technical holds, but he’s also known to bust out the odd high-flying move when need be as well as adopting the Tombstone Piledriver as a new finisher. After he and Lewis were unsuccessful in taking home the Tag Team Championships at Barramania, The King of Catch looks to get one in the win column with a singles match against WWE UK star Wolfgang. The Regulator has been embroiled in a rivalry with Tor Atterhagen for the last two months, culminating in Wolfgang winning a Chain Match last month. With both men coming off the back of separate stories, a victory here could put either of them in line for a championship opportunity.

RUDO Sports and Entertainment Brand (Bram & Iestyn Rees) w/Red Lightning vs The Govan Team (Ravie Davie & Cousin Zander)

The last match signed sees tag team action, as RUDO Sports and Entertainment Brand clients Bram and Iestyn Rees take on Ravie Davie and Cousin Zander. Ever since July where Bram interrupted Davie’s scheme wedding with Martina, The Fresh Prince of Drumoyne Square has had RUDO at the top of his hit-list. Unfortunately for him, he squanders at every chance he has to get his hands on any of them, usually due to people turning their back on him. Both Martina and James Storm turned on the GPWA graduate, allowing the members of RUDO to get the upperhand. With another opportunity this Sunday, Davie better hope his Cousin Zander doesn’t do the same.

“Just Justice” Jackie Polo will also be in attendance this Sunday as Mark Dallas reveals his match for Shug’s Hoose Party 5 in two months time!

After making his surprise return at Barramania, newly announced WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament competitor Joe Coffey will make his first appearance at The Garage in over 6 months. What will The Iron King have to say on his first official night back in an ICW ring?

Following his loss at Barramania 4, Mikey Whiplash will be making an appearance on Sunday. What sort of state will The Necromancer be in following the bloody Deathmatch?

Last but not least, Joe Hendry has promised to be in attendance alongside Leyton Buzzard and Bantz. What will The Prestigious One be looking to accomplish after his crushing defeat at Barramania?

Before the show, fans can head to Box Glasgow (located across from The Garage), where they can try a menu featuring ICW-themed cocktails.
