With all the fallout from Summerhill Showdown, WrestleZone return to Montrose’s Town Hall on Saturday night for an evening of hard-hitting action. All eyes are now firmly locked on the next big event, that being the Regal Rumble on March 16th. The winner of this year’s Rumble Match won’t have to wait long for their Undisputed Championship match, with Aberdeen Anarchy (featuring the debut of PAC) taking place just one month later. Will Damien still be champion by then though?

Undisputed WrestleZone Championship
Zach Dynamite vs Damien (c)

For the first time since November, Damien defends his Undisputed Championship in singles action as old foe Zach Dynamite looks to win his first Undisputed Championship. The Revolutionary has had a tough time as champion, facing Triple Threat after Triple Threat. He’s proven himself to be a fighting champion though, successfully retaining the title on each occasion thus far. It doesn’t matter if your name’s Andy Wild or Jack Jester or BT Gunn, Damien will find a way past you. While he doesn’t have too much history with any of those guys, he certainly does with Zach Dynamite. These two had an intense at the tail-end of 2013 and into 2014, with Zach’s WrestleZone career being on the line at one point. Both men are at completely different stages in their career now though, with Damien being considered as one of the most underrated in the country whereas Dynamite is beginning to come out of his bubble. The major factor in this match will be whether or not Bradley Evans comes to ringside with the former two-time (and greatest) Tri-Counties Champion. He too has a championship match to deal with in Montrose.

Fatal Four Way Match for the WrestleZone Tri-Counties Championship
Mr P (c) vs Crusher Craib vs Bradley Evans vs Ryan Riley

Mr P’s second defence of the Tri-Counties Championship sees another multi-man contest, with Crusher Craib, Bradley Evans, and Ryan Riley or vying to lift the gold for the first time. The man who embraces the chaos won his first taste of singles gold at December’s Christmas Chaos event, beating Zach Dynamite in a Christmas Brawl, maintaining his position on the WrestleZone roster in the process. After retaining against both Zach and Bradley Evans last month, Mr P showed everyone that he will be a fighting champion. Clearly, WrestleZone management were listening as they’ve given him three of the hardest hitting WZ grapplers. Crusher Craib in the Tri-Counties division is something I’ve been wanting to see for a while. He’s held the Undisputed Championship twice and won the Regal Rumble three times. There’s not much more he can do at the top of WrestleZone. Meanwhile, Ryan Riley is petitioning for the right to face PAC come April 13th. PAC’s the current Open The Dream Gate Champion in Dragon Gate so if Riley wins here, they’ll both have gold over their shoulder. That means The Inspirational One should face PAC, right?

Scotty Swift & Johnny Lions vs Blue Thunder & William Sterling

It’s happening. The Swift Lions vs The Thunder Buddies. The seeds for this one have been planted for months now, so it was about time the tree rose from the ground to provide us with this bout. Following the dissolution of Sterling Oil at Aberdeen Anarchy X, William Sterling wasn’t seen until Halloween Hijinx, distracting Scotty Swift during his Dog Collar Match with Crusher Craib. It wasn’t over there, with the multi-time Tag Team Champion also costing The Red Haired Warrior matches against Aspen Faith and a Tag Team Titles match against The Kings of Catch. Christmas Chaos was where everyone turned on its head, with Blue Thunder showing his allegiance to Sterling in a surprise twist. No-one saw it coming, especially after the way the team of Sterling and Thunder broke up in the first place. After the realigned duo interrupted a title match between Swift, Johnny Lions, and The Kings of Catch, they made their intentions crystal clear. The Thunder Buddies want tag team gold. They’ll have to get past the greatest tag team in WrestleZone history firstly though, with this match promising to be out of control from the moment the bell rings.

Jason Reed w/Agent W vs Shawn Johnson

In a Summerhill Showdown rematch, Jason Reed and Shawn Johnson are once again set to square off. The pair are currently 1-1 in singles action, with Shawn capturing a win over Jason back at Proving Grounds 2016 while Reed tied the score last month with that being Shawn’s return from a brief hiatus. The man who is on a mission to Make WrestleZone Great Again has had a quite a successful few months, holding victories over three former Undisputed Champions. He’s on his way to being a favourite in next month’s Regal Rumble Match if he plays his cards right. Speaking of that bout, Shawn Johnson is a man who knows exactly what it takes to get the job done, having won the match in 2017. Since then, he’s become a two-time Undisputed Champion, and picked up pinfall victories over the likes of Lewis Girvan, Scotty Swift, and old tag partner Bryan Tucker. Now a free man without the guidance of Richard R. Russell, the fans are back on his side. Will that be enough to get some retribution over the future President of WrestleZone though?

Handicap Match
Andy Wild vs Alan Sterling & Caleb Valhalla

Andy Wild will finally get his hands on Alan Sterling in Montrose, but it won’t be a straight up singles contest. Sterling will have his new bodyguard Caleb Valhalla as a legal man in the match as The Dad Bod God enters a 2 on 1 Handicap Match. These two were a tag team at Christmas Chaos in December, losing to The Rejected after some slight miscommunication. After this, Alan slapped Andy across the face, one of the biggest mistakes of his career. The former Undisputed Champion made a challenge to Sterling for Summerhill Showdown but after being unable to make it to the show, Alan instead faced the returning Irving Garrett. With the help of Caleb, Alan scored a win over The Bone Collector. With Andy Wild coming back though, he finally has his challenge to face Alan Sterling. This will of course be Valhalla’s debut match, and what a way to make his debut than in his hometown of Montrose? I was looking forward to seeing Caleb throwing people around the ring – that likely won’t be the case for this match though.

Kaden Garrick vs Aspen Faith

Aspen Faith returns to singles action in WrestleZone as he tangles with Kaden Garrick, someone who’s on a massive losing streak at the moment. For just under a year, Aspen’s main focus in WrestleZone has been in the tag team division alongside his Kings of Catch partner Lewis Girvan, with the pair capturing the Tag Team Championships by the end of October after defeating The Rejected. They’ve had their fair share of success up north, something that can’t be said for his opponent in Montrose. Since making his return to wrestling 11 months ago, Kaden has only picked up the one victory, that being over the mighty Lord Michael of Graham. Other than that though, he’s been defeated time and time again. Whether it’s against Crusher Craib or Ryan Riley or Alan Sterling, the former two-time Tag Team Champion is yet to break back on to the scene. A win over a reigning WrestleZone champion would certainly change that around.

VIP Ticket Holders Pre-Show
The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago) vs The Outfit (Dino Del Monte & Ted O’Keefe)

VIP ticket holders are in for quite the treat come Saturday evening as the fierce rivalry between The Rejected and The Outfit rolls on. The pair have been going back and forth since last July, with the rivalry kicking off with a huge upset for Dino and Ted after interference from Aspen Faith. Since then, the current score has went to 2-2, with the most recent bout seeing The Outfit tie the score last month at Summerhill Showdown. That match saw Del Monte and O’Keefe focus their entire attack on the leg of Mikkey Vago, an injury that The Heavy Metal Hooligan possibly hasn’t fully recovered from quite yet. Vago’s had three weeks to rest his leg but who knows if it’s enough. Seeing as it’s in his hometown of Montrose though, expect to see both Vago and Chris Archer doing all they can to score a third victory over The Outfit.

Tickets are available from www.ringsideworld.co.uk, priced at £15 for VIP, £12 for adults, £10 for under 14s, and £35 for an online-exclusive family of four ticket. Fans can also pay at the door on the night. Doors for VIP ticket holders open at 6pm, where they will be treated to a pre-show bout. Doors for general admission ticket holders open at 6:30, with the main show set to kick off at 7pm.
