Review: ICW Kinky Pre-Party 2019

By Louise Westie

Who doesn’t love an ICW Pre-Party?

I, for one, love a party. The Kinky Party Pre-Party before the Square Go at SWG3 was my first one.

Now this was my first one because the last time this was for those doing VIP and general entry, it was open to both general and VIP and those who bought a ticket with cool DJ sets and prizes up for grabs.

The party itself was held in the downstairs function room at Maggie May’s in Troongate as you walk along to what used to be Juicy Lucys, which was a cool venue, the pre-party was organised and ran by fellow ICW fan Ryan Gallagher who manages Wrestling Events.

Spin Shot Shootout

The object of the game was where players (one each selected by The Kinky Party) downed a variety of different coloured shots, span around and downed some more until they were all gone.

Beer Pong

Now I have never played it myself, but I have seen it done. The object of the game was where players threw a ping pong ball across a table with the goal of landing the ball in the opposing team’s cups. If a ball landed in a cup, the defending team must remove it from the table and drink the beer in the cup. Each team took turns shooting until one team eliminates all their opponent’s cups.

Musical Hogans

It’s very much like musical chairs, but instead of chairs, you strike a Hulk Hogan pose. The prize was two tickets to any Fight Club taping.

An Unexpected Guest

We all know that ICW party’s always have a gate crasher and who better to gate crash than: Chief Deputy Dunne!

Now on social media, since he posted this on his Twitter timeline, my first instinct was, “Oh my god, is he actually going to turn up, he wouldn’t dare?”

I thought he was joking. But I was like “Oh for f***** sake!” as soon as I saw him coming down the stairs.

He walked through the crowd and over to the DJ Box and told the bar staff to close off the tills because he didn’t want anyone to have any funahh or have any alcohol being served! But that didn’t stop all the fans chanting “get tae f***” and The Kinky Party getting involved.

The East End Butcher quickly took charge by saying “listen here you little mug, we’re having a party, we’re having some fun” and threatened that if he, “wasn’t away from the booth in 10 seconds, he was going to give him a f****** battering of his life.”

Now everyone was hyped at counting to ten and as the countdown hit two, Chief Deputy Dunne was backed into a corner, he ran as quick as bullet out of the DJ booth and past all of us, up the stairs and out of the door! Sha promised that they’d see him at the Square Go. Meanwhile, Jester chased him out of the pub, before returning to continue the celebrations, what a pro!

I’ll admit he’s got some balls turning up with a police speaker phone and his loud sirens threatening to stop us from having funnah!

Red Light

After the Anti-Fun Police ran out of the building, the party commenced with Big Kink’s favourite game to the song “Roxanne”. Basically what it was, the people who were still there were put into teams: girls against boys. Whenever the word “red light” was heard you had to spin while taking a drink for the girls and for the boys “Roxanne” which was a guaranteed way to get you drunk. I happily took part in this game mainly because it was easy.

The Big Finale!

What’s a Kinky Party without a few strippers? To end the party two members of the crowd was selected to give each man a lap dance. One man gave Sha a lapdance, while one woman gave Jester his. But in a surprising turn of events, Sha Samuels actually gave Jester the lapdance as well! The prize was two tickets to any Fight Club taping.

The Verdict

I love The Kinky Party and they are a great laugh and are brilliant at what they do, especially after a couple of drinks. I loved my first Kinky Party Pre-Party.

The guys at Wrestle Events did very well for their first show and should be very proud. I’d highly recommend them to anyone.

Be sure to follow Wrestle Events on Facebook as the next even which has now been confirmed –
