WrestleZone Aberdeen Anarchy 2019 | Adam’s Talking Points

WZAA

Another Aberdeen Anarchy is now in the history books, as WrestleZone descended the chaos upon Aberdeen’s Beach Leisure Centre last night. While reviews and such will follow in the coming days, here’s a few talking points coming out of the night’s proceedings!

Shenanigans Galore

The evening’s main event between Damien and defending Undisputed Champion RUDO Lightning was full of shenanigans from start to finish. Special guest referee Austin Osiris became blind whenever RUDO cheated but was quick to react whenever Damien attempted to beat down Lightning in the corner, even giving his coach his belt to use as a weapon. The biggest shock of the match came when actual WrestleZone official Mikey Innes intervened and laid a beating on Big Money, even dishing out a spear! In the end, The Revolutionary came out on top to once again capture the Undisputed Championship. That spear from Mikey though. Absolute scenes.

Wrestling Made Great Again

YES! It’s finally happened. Jason Reed has Made WrestleZone Great Again as he stole Andy Wild’s pin over Mr P to become the new Tri-Counties Champion, winning his first taste of singles gold since making his debut. Still no new members of The Reed Cabinet though. Are we going to see anyone unveiled, or is Reed just teasing us?

An Official Team?

In WrestleZone’s second ever Steel Cage Match, Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions captured the Tag Team Championships by defeating The Kings of Catch and The Thunder Buddies in what turned out to be quite the contest. There were several nail-biting moments, including Aspen Faith delivering a moonsault from atop the cage followed not long after by Lions giving Lewis Girvan a Biggest Legdrop Ever off the top too. At his age, The Tenacious One still has it. Does this make he and Swift an official team now?

A Black Arrow Lands

The penultimate match of the evening saw PAC defeat Zach Dynamite in a highly competitive match, ending Dynamite’s chances of victory with a Black Arrow. This match showed just what Zach is capable of when given the opportunity, although I personally would’ve preferred if Bradley Evans and Ryan Riley didn’t get involved as much as they did. Nevertheless, quite an enjoyable contest.

The Streaks… Are Over

In the same week Curt Hawkins snapped his losing streak at WrestleMania 35, two other streaks ended at Aberdeen Anarchy. Firstly, Grado’s Anarchy undefeated streak came to an end as he was pinned by Alan Sterling, complete with a hold of the tights. Later on, Crusher Craib’s unpinned streak since returning from injury was ended at the hands of Bingo Ballance, which came after the interference of Connor Inglis.

The Future Looks Bright

Both the pre-show Fatal Four Way Match and the main show’s Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Match showed exactly what the future of WrestleZone has to offer, with eight of the ten men involved in the contests coming from the WrestleZone Training Academy. Caleb Valhalla is without a doubt a future Undisputed Champion, while The Outfit now have the opportunity to become the new Tag Team Champions at Battle of the Nations. Just give me more of those lads please.
